Dr. Rob Futral

Professor of Biblical Studies and Leadership

Rob and his wife, Kimandria, have served for over 34 years in local churches in Louisiana, Mississippi, and Southern California. Rob and Kimandria are empty nesters who enjoy watching their adult kids soar in this season of their lives and continuing to share the journey with each of them. Known for being genuine and “down to earth” people, Rob and Kimandria have sensed God calling them to come alongside leaders who are called to make a Kingdom difference. Their genuine love for people flows from their deep conviction that disciples of Jesus are key to leading the church to live out the Great Commandments (to love God and to love people and to carry out the Great Commission (to make disciples of the nations).
Rob has earned degrees from Mississippi College (BA) and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary (MDiv in Biblical Languages and PhD in New Testament). Throughout their years of ministry, they have been deeply committed and involved in equipping the church through evangelism, disciple-making, and mission engagement. Rob has a passion for mobilizing followers of Jesus and churches to be involved in church planting partnerships and in global mission partnerships. This passion for evangelism, church planting, and missions has led Rob and Kimandria to be involved nationally and globally. They are very excited to join the Cross Theological Seminary team to teach in Biblical Studies and Leadership. He also serves as director of Student Shepherding, CTS Nights, and Missions Engagement.
